The CPSC has announced its intention to explore new safety regulations for e-bikes and other related devices. At the recent SHIFT'23 conference, Commissioner Mary T. Boyle unveiled plans to initiate a thorough review process, potentially culminating in new mandates by 2025.

So, what exactly is an NTA-8776 helmet? Simply put, it is a helmet that meets the safety requirements outlined in the Dutch Technical Agreement (NTA) 8776. This international standard was developed by a project group under the management of NEN to ensure that helmets protect riders from higher impact speeds and cover a larger part of the head.
